Sofie’s birth-creation happened only a mere 200 years previously, making her a relatively young Zeon. From her creation and her linking to the Zeon Gestalt Consciousness, she found herself possessed of radical notions. She, along with a number of minds, believed that the only way to achieve the Ultimate Knowledge was through logical thought, the pursuit of clarity, and the severing of emotions from the Consciousness. The idea of completely logical thought was, at the time, a hotly debated issue among the Consciousness.

Sofie and her supporting party grew angry at the way the debate was going, and attempted to detach themselves from the Consciousness to start their own one. They were mostly successful, leaving the Zeon planet and settling on another world. They lived peacefully, having reached a mutual agreement of “let’s not bother each other too much” with the Zeon. Yet Sofie found herself troubled. Being quite young, she wasn’t used to being away from the Consciousness for so long, and expressed a desire to return to it.

The others who had shared her views denounced her as a traitor and expelled her from their mini-consciousness, confining her gas form to an avatar and putting her on a shuttle to a distant planet. Through what can only be described as “wacky hijinx” (a highly technical term), Sofie found herself in the employ of the Galactic Union Police, assigned to their Earth branch due to her human-like avatar, where she was to advise the other employees regarding alien matters, and occasionally get her hands dirty as DekaSwan.
