Katsu stood and looked out at the ocean from the rocks. It was near the beach, but she wouldn't die there. No, she'd cast herself from here, down on the rocks below.
There was no other way for her. Nothing had gone right, nothing was going to go right. She had hurt people, she had been hurt. This was for the best.
It was morning now. Maybe she'd be found today, maybe not. She had said she was going to school, but had left not dressed for it. This was going to be it.
She looked down at the rocks, and then at the ocean. Tears came down her cheeks as she looked down at the rocks again.
Now Rise wouldn't be able to cause any more pain, as long as it didn't activate and stop her death. But she doubted the Arc would do anything. She was sure that this was it.
She moved forward.

"You seem upset." a calm yet old voice spoke to the troubled girl who was on the verge of suicide. Where the voice can from was unknown, but it was no doubt audible.

She hesitated for only a moment. She drove the voice from her mind and went to fall.

'TELEPORT, NOW' echoed throughout the air and the young girl was back on the ground rather than facing the ocean.

Katsu fell after she teleported. "Ow...," she muttered. How...how was she here?

"Suicide is never the answer." the same voice told the young girl and standing behind her was the White Wizard of Wisedom.

She came to her feet, "Suicide is the answer if I want it to be!" she shouted.

"And you believe that death solves everything?" the White Wizard calmly asked. "Amusing and foolish."

"Life only brings pain...death would be a relief that I need!"

"I think different." the White Wizard replied. "Life is an important thing. It gives opportunity. Death gives nothing but sorrow."

"Life gives me nothing but sorrow!" she yelled at him.

The White Wizard was unfazed and continued to speak. "One does not simply end his or life because it's painful. You're still young and you have much to learn."

"I don't care!" she shouted, "If I keep living it's not just me who's going to hurt!" Rise was going to go out of control eventually, she knew that. Then she'd be responsible for untold numbers of deaths.

"And what exactly do you mean?" the White Wizard asked and upon sensing something off, he guessed. "Is it the monster within you?"

"It's the monster that I am!" she said. She didn't believe that Rise was "within her", she believed Rise WAS her now.
