Overview: Itami is a girl who keeps her emotions very guarded, to the point where she could be considered cold and emotionless. Due to the circumstances leading up to, and during, her imprisonment, she doesn't trust a majority of people, and it's very hard to gain her trust.

Throughout her childhood, Itami lived a less-than-happy life. While her mother treated her with all the love and care a mother could give to her only child, her father abused her and her mother regularly, both physically and verbally. And Itami came to resent her father because of it. However, no one would listen to her pleas and cries for help, so she began to show barely any emotion whatsoever, letting it all bottle up inside her. When she was ten, her mother left without warning, leaving her the sole subject of her father's abuse. However, she couldn't contain her emotions any longer, getting into a fight with her father that resulted in the scarring of her eye and the murder of her abuser. Admitting her guilt, she was given a sentence of 10 years behind bars.

While serving time in prison, the warden came to her cell and drugged her, bringing her to a lab in an undisclosed location. There, she was subject to experiments, constantly being tested until they decided to use her to produce a "modified human", one that would trancend their other experiments. Altering Itami's body with cybernetic implants, the experiment, codenamed "HOPPER", was a success, and she was returned to the prison with no one having bat an eye.

Despite the traumatic experience during the time she was being modified, Itami continued to keep her emotions closely guarded. She was eventually released in early 2013, shortly before her 17th birthday, due to good behavior. Finally released from prison, she decided to reintegrate herself into society, taking a high school entrance exam, despite her reputation continuing to precede her, and she began to search for a new purpose in life...
