"It's a bat." Kanata said, rather impatiently. "They're quite common Earth pests."

He twisted around looking for her, but she had vanished behind Eiji and he didn't notice.

Eiji and Mirai made movements with their hands across their throats as if to say "Don't argue with her", but Kanata didn't notice.
"I'm calling you a pest, you pest." She seemed mere moments away from pulling a weapon on the tiny bat.
