"Stop right there!" Kaori shouted, clad in her Black Condor suit, as she chased the Ladybug Fangire through the night sky.
The Ladybug Fangire laughed before hurling its spiked disk.
Kaori blocked it with her Bringer Sword and sent it right back at her.
The Ladybug Fangire caught it between her fingers.
"Fool, don't think you can hurt me with my own weapon!"

Even though they had been on planet Earth for a grand total of...5 days already, the group of Solar Marines had already forged something of a living for themselves. They had a steady supply of food in case their rations ran out, and most of them had even enrolled in a nearby school. Yet, despite having gotten used to the culture and having a strong grasp on the language, seeing a person in spandex fighting a flying ladybug monster was somewhat shocking to them. It was to that end that Mirai, Kanata and Eiji had transformed and performed a Biostream Blast, right at the evil doom ladybug.

"What the!" that was all the Ladybug Fangire had time to say before being blasted out of the sky and crashing landing into a dumpster down below.
Kaori blinked unaware of really what happened, "I'm stronger than I thought.."

The trio of marines performed acrobatic jumps and flips as they made their way to the dumpster.
"That was pretty easy." Mirai shrugged. "I wonder if it's dead."
Kanata jumped up to the dumpster and looked inside. "I have no idea."

Kaori landed on the rooftop of the two story shop overlooking the dumpster and watched as a trio of oddly dressed people walked towards it.
"Who are you guys?"

"We'd better return to the ship." Kanata said as she jumped down from the dumpster. "We don't want any humans finding us...." Then she noticed Kaori staring down at them.
Eiji rubbed the back of his head and Mirai visibly blushed. "Oops."

"We don't actually have anything for that." Eiji raised an eyebrow.
"Curses." Mirai hissed.

Kaori hopped down onto the ground.
"Actual aliens! I've always wanted to meet actual aliens!"
She then hit them with a barrage of questions.
"So..where did you come from? What's your home planet like? What color is your space ship? How big is your space ship? Can I take a ride in your spaceship? Do you guys eat brains or is that zombies? What do you guys do for fun? Do you have detectives where you come from? Are they as hardboiled as Philip Marlowe?!"
The only reason she was exited to meat aliens was the idea of an extraterrestrial detective solving crimes in outer space sounded extremely cool.

Kanata made a sound that sounded something like "tch" and said "I knew doing this was a bad idea to begin with. If we're not careful, we could expose ourselves."
"It's one person, Kanata." Eiji said, removing his glasses and rubbing his eyes. "She'll keep it quiet...hopefully." He then turned to Kaori. "Well, to answer your questions: Our home planet is hundreds of light years away. It's very wet. Our spaceship is red, and pretty big. No, you can't, because it's nonoperational. That's zombies. Lots of different things. Sort of. Who is Philip Marlow? Does that satisfy you?"

"What a travesty!" she grabbed Eiji's hands, "You guys can't return to your home planet without reading all the hardboiled adventures of Phillip Marlowe, Hercule Poirot, and who could forget the great Sherlock Holmes!"

Kaori was about to respond, when the dumpster exploded, sending them all flying in different directions.
Kaori hit against the wall of the adjacent building and watched as the Ladybug Fangire stood over her.
"You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?"

Mirai hit the wall, Kanata fell into a couple of garbage cans and Eiji was sent rolling backwards.
"Man, that was surprising." Mirai groaned, detaching herself from the wall.

Ladybug pressed her foot down on Kaori's chest.
"I don't know who any of you are, but you made a big mistake by challenge a member of the proud Fangire race!"
A sound like the licking of lips could be heard from the bug beast.
"Now who to devour first?"
