Discuss any Western comics (Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, etc.) here.

Mom was more of a DC comics fan but I favored Marvel. She thought that comic books were meant to be an escape from reality so she liked heroes like Batman who had everything. They were billionaires and heroes. She didn't want to read about heroes like Spiderman who were 'losers' and bullied. I preferred Marvel comics though because I appreciated the heroes that needed to struggle in their daily lives as well as struggle with their superhero work. And I really liked the X-men concept. Couldn't stand the art style but excellent story.

X-Men are hard to get into, but are differently my favorite of the Marvel bunch besides Spidey.
My all time favorite series though is Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. It is the most intensest thing I have ever read.

Oh! I completely forgot about Sandman! The story was so compelling and the art was gorgeous! Definitely the best comic series I read!

Destruction, he is modeled after BRIAN BLESSED.

Destruction was really cool but Lucien was probably my favorite. He was the only one to stay at the post even after Dream was gone, protecting the books!

I'm scared! Those two worlds were not meant to collide!

They were ALWAYS meant to collide... Not kidding, RTD wanted this when he was heading it. His version would have been a movie though

And yet they do collide, with amazingly awesome consequences.

I just wish it wasn't 11. 11 for some reason just doesn't strike me as the right one for this - 7 or 10 maybe.

Didn't the Borg absorb the Cypermen in one of these?
