Rescue Wild was originally designed as a branch of Terra, but eventually the prototypes were handed over to a new unit. The Wild Suits were designed to be flexible and light enough to maneuver through dense bush and climb trees, while being tough enough to deal with animal attacks or falls from trees or cliffs. The suits are designed to be able to withstand both the heat of the desert and the cold of the arctic, though neither in extremes. Wild is deployed to deal with disasters in forests, on cliffs and mountains, in the tundra, and other such places. They are trained to deal with not only the terrain but the animals and insects that might prey on those rescued.
The suits are all one base color with brown accents. While the undersuit (which is the same color as the armor) is armored as well, the actual armor plating is limited to the torso, wrists, and lower legs. The Wild Shooter is stored in a holster on the right side of the belt, with the Wild Cutter being stored on the back. Unlike the other squads, each Rescue Wild member has and animal motif on both their suit and Rescue Vehicle. Wild-1 is the Stag, Wild-2 is the Coyote, Wild-3 is the Cheetah, Wild-4 is the Raven, Wild-5 is the Bull, and the prototype Wild-0 is a Polar Bear. The motif mostly lends itself to the design of the helmet, with designs etched on the side.
Rescue Tools
Wild Cutter: The standard Rescue Tool, it is a multiuse device. Its standard mode is that of a long handled axe, with a flap in the middle. By unfolding that flap, it melds with the axe-head and can be used as an entrenching tool.
Wild Claw: The team’s Chaksou Device, it is a voice activated device worn on the back of the right hand, attached to a glove. The user slaps the button with their left hand, and then lifts the device to their mouth. They then declare “Chaksou”, before throwing their arm to the side and slashing the air in front of them. When the Rescuer transforms three claws about a foot in length extend from the device. The claws are meant to cut through underbrush, but can be used in a fight. The Wild Claw also contains a communicator.
Wild Hook: A device on Rescue Wild’s left glove that resembles the Wild Claw, but without the claw part. It is instead used as a combination winch/grappling hook. By pressing a trigger in the palm with the little finger, the hook is loaded and the camera in the hidden shooter sends a signal to the visor’s HUD. The grappling hook is then fired by closing the fist. A hidden switch in the index finger’s second knuckle accesses the winch; by pushing it to the left the cable retracts, pushing it to the right extends it.
Claw Hook: A Tool only used by Wild-0, the two he carries are the only Tools he has. It combines the Wild Claw and Wild Hook with two added features. First off, the one built into the left glove has a built in netgun, tranq shooter, and laser shooter. But also, the Claw Hooks are equipped with sawtooth, vibrating claws. Only the right functions as a Chaksou Design.
Wild Shooter: The team has a sidearm in the form of a small, snubnosed pistol. It can be changed by rotating the barrel slightly; red is laser, blue is tranq, green is net. The Wild Shooters are in Tranq Mode usually, in case they have to deal with an animal attack. The next most used mode is Net Mode, which fires balled up, electrified nets. Team members usually have to get permission to go into Laser Mode, which is usually to deal with kaijin-related threats. Because of this, some users have been known to either ignore it all together or go against orders and use it whenever they want.
Rescue Vehicles
Rescue Wild’s Rescue Vehicles are designed to be piloted in any necessary terrain, though each has a terrain it is best in. While any of them can be used in any terrain, some are more practical than others. They are piloted using Core Breakers, small scale vehicles that can be ejected when the need arises.
Zero Bear Convoy: An extra-large scale vehicle used to carry the other Rescue Vehicles. It takes the form of a large 4WD Bus with slots to deploy all five vehicles. The top panel folds back to reveal a heliport for the Raven Copter and a ramp for the Cheetah Cycle to launch off of. The back of the truck opens to reveal/let out the Stag Sport. There are portions near the rear on the left and right side to deploy the Coyote Truck and Bull Crawler as well. This massive six wheeled vehicle is also armed with a number of cannons, machineguns, and water cannons. Because of its sheer size, it is rarely deployed unless expressly necessary. Mainly it gets deployed as a carrier.
-Core Breaker 0: A white one of this
One Stag Sport: The Stag Sport is a medium-large scale vehicle, designed to resemble a Sport Utility Vehicle. The Stag Sport, which bears a striking resemblance to the Jeep Wrangler, is designed to be fast and take a beating. At home in the tundra, it can deploy a scoop in order to move snow and rocks out of the way, and studded tires designed to drive on ice without difficulty. Next to the Cheetah Cycle it is the fastest of the main five vehicles. It is also armed with a missile battery hidden on the top panel.
-Core Breaker 1: A green BMW 4 F32
Two Coyote Truck: The Coyote Truck, which again looks remarkably similar to the Ford F150, is a Medium-Large Scale Vehicle. It is at home in thick forest, where its
chainsaw arms and grabber arm allow it to easily move downed trees away from civilians.
-Core Breaker 2: A black Range Rover Evoque
Three Cheetah Cycle: The Cheetah Cycle is a dirt bike themed Medium-Large Scale Vehicle. It is the smallest of the Rescue Wild vehicles, so that it can maneuver in the woods. Because of its size its weapon options are limited to a rocket launcher on its side.
-Core Breaker 3: A yellow Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle
Four Raven Copter: The Raven Copter is a Medium-Large Scale Vehicle based on a helicopter. It was designed to be used for desert rescue, with hooks capable of airlifting down vehicles and injured people. Because it can’t travel on land it usually hangs back to get civilians away in wooded areas.
-Core Breaker 4: A dark blue Chevrolet Explorer
Five Bull Crawler: A medium-large vehicle, it is designed to act as a combination dune buggy/rock crawler. And just like its namesake, it is in its element in the mountains, where its tires can be used to climb the side of a cliff. Its weapons are limited to a pair of hidden machineguns in the chassis. Likewise, since its designed for maneuverability and not speed, it is the slowest Vehicle.
