Sayuri was really confused. She looked to Kiriha to see if he had any idea of what she was talking about.
She tried to think if there was something she should say; but, she was at a loss.

"Marilen, I don't really want to know about that part of your personal life," he said.
"She's cute," Marilen told him, sighing, "Come on Sayuri, let's go have fun somewhere else..."

Sayuri held herself up proudly. "I need to talk to Kiriha," Sayuri said boldly. "I believe you said he's working now but I will wait until he's done so I can have a proper conversation."
She looked back at Marilen. "But if you want to go somewhere until he's done I don't mind accompanying you."
She turned her attention back to Kiriha and poked a finger in his chest. "But. I. Will. Talk. To. You." she said slowly and assertively.

Marilen whispered to her, "Just let me do my thing," she said softly, "I do know what I'm doing."
Kiriha ignored her and went back inside, closing the door.

Sayuri didn't know Kiriha very well yet. She should assume Marilen could handle the situation better. She'd deffer to Marilen's judgement. She nodded her head in acceptance. She would go along with whatever the girl suggested.

She led her a little away from the breakroom, "Ok...that didn't work right," she said, "Um..."

Sayuri waited patiently for Marilen to finish her thought. She wasn't sure what exactly Marilen had expected.

Sayuri nodded. "Reasonable conclusions. What now? Develop a new battle plan?" She hoped Marilen could help. She hadn't really thought hers through that much.

She started to wonder if Sayuri was picking up on all of this. She was trying to get Kiriha to date this other girl, because she thought that might be a good start. Jealousy wasn't working (if he didn't see through to what it really was), so now what? She grabbed Sayuri's arm lightly, "Come on," she said.

Sayuri nodded and allowed herself to be pulled along. Flow with the river, saving your energy for the time you needed it to fight against the current.

She stopped by the breakroom door and waited. She looked at her phone for the time. Yeah, any minute...
A man exited, one of Kiriha's colleagues. "Joji-kun," she smiled. Yuki Joji looked at her.
"Marilen?"
She smiled and grabbed his hands, "I've missed you," she said, leaning up to kiss him. She could see Kiriha in the room, hurrying over to the door. This would be Sayuri's chance to get to him.

Sayuri gave a quick nod to Marilen in thanks before hurrying over to approach Kiriha. "Caught you," she said simply.

Okay. She'd approached him. Now what? She did her best to block his path while she tried to figure out what to say.
"You shouldn't ignore people so much. It's rude." She supposed that was as good a beginning as any. At least for someone like him.
