Noa was lying in bed next to the man she was with - Kyle. He rolled towards her, "No, not again," she told him.
But he grabbed her. Like when they first met earlier that night. He didn't kiss her this time; he just grabbed her chest and kept her down while he came up.
"I said not again," she said, grabbing his arm, but he didn't listen to her.
He slept after that, so Noa left and walked home alone that night. She had no interest in seeing him again, of course. It amounted to rape, but she pushed that thought aside as she walked the dark streets of London alone, without even her Zecter that night.

Richard had gotten off of work not too long ago. He'd been feeling restless so instead of going straight home he decided to go for walk. Just thins morning he'd finished his latest hat project and so he needed more fuel for the fire. He wasn't particularly worried. Inspiration struck quickly and struck hard. But it was a bit depressing having finished a hat with no idea of what other one he should work on. He hoped that by prowling the streets he'd find something intriguing to help with the creative process.
He stared up at the sky. Of course he was in London so he'd long ago abandoned the notion of seeing any stars. Far too many lights for such things. Still, the night sky was fairly cloudless and quite lovely. Yes, the hour was late; but, he wasn't fearful. He was a trained police officer. If anyone should try to bother him he was more than confident he could take care of himself. And if his human strength and speed wasn't enough and even his gun failed him, there was always TheBee.
As he continued his stroll he was surprised to find a young woman walking the streets alone at such an hour. Such a thing wasn't safe. He didn't run towards her, not wishing to startle her. Instead he called out to her.
"Miss, are you alright?" he asked with concern. "You shouldn't be out here alone at this hour. It's dangerous."

She heard him, but had no desire to respond. She was fine (well...kind of) and didn't want to start talking to someone. She didn't want to trust what she might say, how she felt, anything. She just wanted to put this night behind her, and be done with it.

Richard repressed a sigh when the woman ignored him. He couldn't very well just leave her alone now that he'd run into her like this. She could get hurt.
"Miss, if you don't want to talk that's fine but could you at least let me walk you to wherever you're going? It really isn't safe," he insisted.

She turned quickly to him, "And how do I know I could trust you?" she demanded with some venom in her tone. She was NOT in the mood for anything.

"I'm a police officer," he told her calmly. She didn't look like she was in any mood to play games. He should be extra cautious. "Look, I'm going to reach into my pocket and show you my badge, okay?" he asked. People could get a little edgy when they met strangers on the road at night. The last thing he wanted was for her to think he was going to pull a gun on her or something.
He slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out his bade. He held it up for her to see, still not coming any closer.

"I don't care what you are," she told him, "I'm still not interested..."
A part of her wanted to talk, but...no. No. This was something to just be put behind her and she could move on...

"I didn't think you were. That's why I didn't bother to give you a name. But the fact remains that it's still not safe for you to walk the streets alone at this hour. Please allow me to accompany you. I'd feel responsible if something happened."

"I can take care of myself," she told him. Well no, she couldn't, but she wanted to lie. She didn't think he'd believe that, but it was worth a shot.

"Will you humor me then?" Richard asked her. "I won't be able to sleep until I know you've made it home safely." As he stared at her the beginnings of an idea started to form. She'd look really nice with a red hat. Hmm...But what kind of felt would be best? What design?

She shook her head 'no' and left him, heading on. She figured he'd probably follow...

Acknowledging that it could possibly be misconstrued as stalking, he followed her in silence. He just wanted to make sure she got to wherever she was going in one piece. She was young and attractive. Less noble men might want to abduct her and have their way with her. Richard wouldn't allow it!

She took a corner, and them immediately moved into the darkest spot she could see that was right there, hoping he'd pass by. She was in no mood for this, cop or not.

Being a police officer, Richard was used to people trying to lose him. He wasn't fooled when she tried to hide. He stopped and waited for her to move forward again.
