Miri wriggled into a seated position, then stopped moving altogether, sitting calmly. "Would you like to do the honors, or shall I?" Serry asked.

"Fair enough." Serry handed Jayce her textbook and mask, and knelt in front of Miri, resting a hand on her knee. She dove into her mind, trying to find her buried psyche while resisting Miri's thoughts from flowing into her own head.

Jayce stood there and watched, although he was disgusted by all of it. He wanted to be with Ari, but he had to see this through.

Serry found it, and began prying it open. "Go be with your sister. I can handle this." Serry said. "Just leave my things on the drawer chest."

"If you say... so." Serry said, grunting and ripping Miri's psyche free. Miri immediately adjusted position, pulling her legs up so they were curled in a sitting position.

Serry took her things back from Jayce, and left the room, closing the door behind her. "These rogues are far more intelligent than we thought, it seems. And weird as all hell." Miri commented mentally to Jayce.

He spoke instead of using telepathy, "How dare you put my sister in one of these things," he hissed angrily, trying to control his temper, "For what? A joke? It's sick. What we had might have only been physical, but we're done!"
