Well, that story sounds familiar. Fiona thought, recalling the time she first met Shafu, herself lost in a flood of anger and aimlessness after failing her demonstration at the Expo.
A thought popped into her head. "Well anyway I don't have much going on at the moment, though I have always been interested in seeing the Jaguar-ken style up close" She said. "Would you be willing to spar a couple rounds with me, if you want to of course".

He sighed a little, already tired from his exercise, but after a few moments he gave a somewhat reluctant nod, "Sure," he said, "Just let me towel off and maybe put on a shirt..."

"Cool, I'll meet you inside the gym".
So far so good in terms of breaking the ice, she thought as she walked towards the gymnasium. As she walked Fiona wondered about any other pupils that Shafu had brought up in the Geki Arts, what style they practice, where were they now, etc.
Drake seemed a nice enough sort, if perhaps a bit reluctant to reveal details about himself at first glance. Then again, it would probably take a bit more to know him, hence why she brought up the sparring round.
She walked inside the currently empty gymnasium and waited.

Drake didn't have to go far to find his towel and a shirt to use. He toweled off, took some water, and drew the shirt on as he hurried to the match. He wasn't sure how good he'd be, coming off of that workout, or how fluid his movements would be, but he'd show her Jaguar-Ken as best as he could.
He headed inside and walked towards her, "Alright, I'm ready!"

"Don't hold back, okay?" Fiona said as she drew her Changers.
"BEAST ON!" She cried out before transforming into GekiYellow.

"I guess the shirt didn't matter," he said, thrusting his arms forward and saying the same command.

Waiting for Drake to change, Fiona then decided to strike first, aiming her right fist at her opponent's torso.

He stepped back, thrusting an open palm down in an attempt to deflect the punch low.

Fiona anticipated he would counter her strike, as soon as her punch was deflected, she attempted to knock her opponent off balance with a sweep kick.

As soon as he felt it on one leg, he lifted it up and set it back down quickly, but swayed as his balance was affected. He swung his other fist for her chest as an open palm.

Her ploy worked, but now Fiona left herself open to attack, with her free arm she attempted to check her opponent's move by blocking it.

He struck her arm, but immediately tried to turn his strike into a grip, closing his hand around her arm, or attempting to.

With his grip tightening on her arm, Fiona sent a roundhouse kick at Drake's side, hoping to catch him off guard long enough to loosen his grip.
