Drake was trying something. He had a canvas set before him, and a vase of flowers a bit off. He was painting it, and a timer was going off every minute. Once it went off, he put his things aside and dropped down to do pushups, alternating between normal, clappers, and other variants. It would go off in another minute, at which time he'd go back to painting with no breaks.
The cycle continued. He wanted to improve his painting, and well, it was suffering because of this, obviously. But in time it should improve, and he should be able to do all of this.
Yes. He was bored. Oh so bored...

It was not long ago, Fiona was still settling in at the SCRTC America branch, that her Master informed her she wasn't the only student he had tutored. She asked herself why he kept that fact unsaid until after she finished her training, but she trusted the Old Cat's judgment.
It was around lunch time that she decided to make her introductions, after inquiring from some of her co-workers, the subject was outside the building at the rear courtyard. She walked past the entrance, finding him fervently painting a flower vase on a canvas. Judging by the kitchen timer next to him, he was likely practicing his technique. Jaguar-ken, according to Shafu, relied upon grace and technique, like a painter. She herself had gone through similar training with her own Cheetah-ken style, though it was with calligraphy rather than painting.
She walked closer, waiting for him to finish so as to not interrupt him. When the timer finally struck, she at last spoke.
"That looks pretty good". Not exactly the most original of introductions, but there you go. "How long did it take to paint that?"

He had heard her, but he had also heard the timer. He was already dropping down to do pushups, but one of his hands slipped a bit because of the distraction. Damn, he'd have to work on that. He couldn't make mistakes or become distracted while doing things.
"And who are you?" he asked, breathing harder as he was doing his pushups. He'd have answered her question, but he wasn't sure of the answer. He wasn't able to think too clearly right now, after all. He was getting too tired, too worn down. Sweat continued to run down his shirtless chest, and he was a bit surprised he wasn't feeling dehydration yet.

Okay, that intro could have gone smoother. Fiona thought. "I take it your kind of busy, maybe we can do this some other time?"

"No, no," he said as he came up, despite the timer, "Now's fine." He reached back and hit it to stop it, "I've done enough of this."

Fiona felt a bit of relief she didn't inadvertently embarrass herself, introductions to people she had never met is always a bit of a minefield to her.
"Y'know, I did something similar, albeit it was caligraphy and sprints as opposed to what you were doing". She said, "I'm Fiona, you are?..."

"Drake," he told her. He looked at his painting, and then back to her, "And how did that end up for you?"

"Let's just say my hand felt asleep for about a week, and I'll skip how many blisters my feet got." She said with a smirk. "I take it the Old Cat kept my existence unknown to you until just now, didn't he".

"Well, I've known there were others here, other students, other Rangers," he told her, "The question of who they were? That's new to me. So, which one are you then?"

"Ranger, same as you I'm assuming." Answered Fiona. "Cheetah-ken style to be specific".

"Jaguar," he told her, "I become GekiBlue."

"If you don't mind me asking, for how long" She asked. "Me...I guess you could say I'm a rookie, initiate, or whatever."

"I've been training for a few years," he told her, "I'd have to think about it a bit more, but I've mastered KaGeki, if that tells you anything about my number of years."

"It's been about, four years for me give or take, including KaGeki training. The Old Cat recruited me right around high school. How did you meet Master anyway?"

"I was somewhat lost in my life, and he found me," Drake said. He stopped and did some math in his head, "I've been in training for about eightish years."
