Shit, no. Please no... But what was there to stop Vera from taking her? The Zecter hadn't helped at all, and Kayla had thought she saw it leave. Had it abandoned her?

"Actually, I think I will." Vera said, going into the box. She pulled out a blindfold and secured it around Kayla's eyes, making sure it covered fully. She picked Kayla up and walked out, a trooper going back to grab Vera's box as the group followed.
