"I started training eight years ago," Cécile quipped. She laughed but there was no humor. "And for someone who's been through hell...Well you'd be amazed at just how dedicated they can be."

"When I say 'training', I don't mean throwing around some martial arts training over the years. I mean real, hard training. Training that pushes you to your limits, not just a hobby."

"It wasn't a hobby. I found a teacher. A really tough one. He just didn't happen to be a part of the military." She smiled. "Well...At least he was 'retired' by that point."

"Well then, I may have been wrong about you," he had to admit. Of course, he'd need to see more before fully admitting that.

Cécile shrugged. "You couldn't possibly know yet. I'm not asking you to give me the benefit of the doubt or anything. I'm just asking you not to treat me like complete crap when I am actually trying to help."
She glared at him. "Unless it's relevant don't discuss Adrien. He has nothing to do with all this," she commented, waving towards the ship.

He looked at the ship. A minute or two, and his people would be on scene.
"Fine," he said, "I'll give you that much."

Cécile grinned. "Good. Glad we cleared that up." Note to self: Never give a military operative your real name.
She stood staring at the ship quietly. She wondered exactly what was going to happen next. Somehow she doubted she'd be allowed to fade into obscurity. Even if she could she wouldn't want to. She wanted to help but there was a problem. They'd want to know how she knew everything she did. Seeing the Logi wouldn't have been enough to properly understand them the way she did. And she didn't think it was a good idea to admit she'd linked minds with an alien who knew the threat.
Adam was friendly and he had been hesitant to meld minds. She'd been the one who insisted. But if the military had any idea of what information she possessed...What would they do with her? Would they try to poke and prod in her head too? If she wasn't going to admit to the mind link, how could she explain what she knew? She really hadn't thought this through.

He folded his arms and approached the ship, "So, just how did you come by this again?" he questioned.

And oh shit! Now the questions! Just how honest did she want to play this? "Well, there was a carnival in town and I bought tickets to see 'The Silver Turk'," she began. All true so far. Maybe she could just mention Adam and say he'd explained things to her. That was true. He'd just done a lot more than that.
"But it turns out the Silver Turk was actually a Logi. I saw it and I had this incredibly awful feeling. And my partner...Okay...Well now this will just completely sound nuts but I have a spiritual Ankylosaurus partner. I call her Cybil. She's the reason I can transform. We can't typically communicate but sometimes she'll send me images or I can sort of feel her emotions. And she was super freaking out."
"I asked the guy next to me if I was the only one who was concerned and he said I wasn't. He jumped onto the stage to get a better look at this 'Silver Turk' and I just followed him without question. He turned out to be some kind of alien who had seen the Logi before. He was the one who explained everything to me as we went along and tracked down the ship and stuff."

"...ok...," he said, shaking his head, "Whatever." He left it at that.

She sighed in relief. Good. No further questions. She really wasn't leaving here, was she? The military would take her away for further questioning or they'd try and haul her off in a straight jacket, right? She really should have better prepared her statement.
She fidgeted. "Yeah...so...Um...Once you guys confirm that this ship is some weird shit...um...I can just sort of walk away and let you guys take it from here?" The less questions they asked her the better. No way was she getting into mind link and letting the military try and study her. Maybe that was why Adam had dumped this on her. He knew they wouldn't just let an alien walk away after coming forward. But she was human. Yeah...She was screwed.

"We will question you," he warned her, "Some detaining, questioning, but I don't imagine it'll take too long."

Right. Of course they would. "Right...Shouldn't take long," she said nervously. Yeah, right. If they thought she was leaving something out it would take forever. And getting them to believe the stuff she told them...Again it would take forever. Of course she doubted they'd be too concerned with letting her go. They were the military and she had given them her real name. If they wanted to find her, they would.
"And if it takes too long...I don't suppose I'm allowed some sort of military lawyer," she joked anxiously.

He didn't say anything about that. He could hear a chopper closing in on them. "They're here," he said. "Just stay back with them and follow whatever orders they give you. We're taking over the ship from this point on."

"Yeah. No problem with you taking the ship. It's not mine and I'm no computer whiz. I'm definitely not doing anything useful with it," she agreed. Follow whatever orders they gave her? That part she wasn't so fantastic with. But if they were reasonable she would comply.
She shifted her weight anxiously. "Um...Really...I told you practically everything I know." Not exactly true but less complicated. "I...I don't think I should really need any further questioning." She really felt like running and abandoning ship so to speak. But she doubted she'd get far and if they'd listen she might have a few other useful things to tell them. It was killing her;but, she was staying put.
