"I don't think you give women enough credit. I think you'll find that although their moves are more subtle, they make the first move as often as men." Not like she personally had any experience in the matter. She'd never really had time for romance. She was busy enough studying magic. There was so much to learn and so little time to learn it.

"I'm sure," he said, "I just haven't met any." What a day that would be when he met his match of a woman. Maybe then he could open his heart? He figured that that would be the only type of woman he really could open up to.

"So would you care to explain why you asked a complete stranger out for food?" she asked curiously. "Are you just...not picky at all?" Morgana took much time considering which books she wanted to read next, which spell in particular she would practice. It wasn't so much a matter of practicality but interest. She didn't learn spells expecting to need them. She simply wanted to know them.

Now he might be walking into a trap here, but he chose to answer it this way. He knew it could backfire, but he figured it might come off as enough flattery that it would work out in the end. Well, he hoped it would.
"You're a lovely woman," he told her, "That's why."

Morgana laughed. "I suppose you're more honest than most. But that does mean you're not picky so long as you find a girl attractive. Does that bother you? Or are you going for the guess and check method? Ask enough pretty girls out and eventually you're bound to find one whose personality is to your liking?" she asked.

He wasn't going to say that personality wasn't important to him. That might make her leave. No, what was important was touch, feel, kisses, the physical contact. He didn't particularly care for the personality or emotional part of any of it.
"No comment," he said.

"I'm curious. I'm not judging you," she said honestly. "I actually spend fairly little time socializing so I'm interested in how people feel about these sorts of things."

"Depends on the woman," he admitted, leaving it at that.

"So it doesn't matter to you that I'm a foreigner?" she asked curiously. "Some people wouldn't even bother to consider someone with a different background."

He shook his head, "No. It makes you all the more unique, being here," he told her, "Ethnicity and culture don't matter to me. Only the person."

"The person but not the personality?" she teased. He had refused to comment on it which probably meant it was a secondary consideration.

"The person," he said, leaving it at that.

"I'm really not judging you," she repeated. She was just curious. She doubted he'd believe it, though. From her experiences, most people didn't view the world the way she did. "Alright then. What is something you are comfortable discussing? Do you like to read?"

"Oh, I'll discuss a lot of things," he said, "But that's better as a mealtime conversation," he said.

A strange person. Or maybe not. She was probably the strange one. Well, she supposed it didn't much matter. "Speaking of which, where are we going?" she asked. She didn't know the area particularly well. She had come here to retrieve some very special books. She knew the location of said books and little else.
