She laughed. "If you keep being honest it will go much better," she assured him, beginning to cut into her omelette. "There's nothing wrong with what you're doing. Don't ever let anyone convince you otherwise." She really loathed people who tried to force their morals down others' throats. People were capable of deciding for themselves what they wanted and how they should conduct themselves.

"Oh, I know that," he said, pouring wine. Normally that was for assistance and for charming the woman, but now it almost felt pointless. Oh well. "I live my life the way I want to."

Morgana took a glass of wine and lifted it in Rain's direction. "As do I. May we both get what we want!"

That was possibly a first. He nodded, "Yes, let's hope," he said.

She looked at Rain curiously, wondering if her openness was a relief to him or if he preferred trying to properly woo a woman. She took a sip of the wine, pondering what her responsibilities would be should he carry through with the deal. He had said he discarded women so he likely wouldn't expect anything long term. Well, it didn't matter. If he could provide her with the books she coveted she'd make sure he was satisfied.

Maybe it was stupid to get near the HUNTER base with her, but oh well. They'd have resources, and as long as he didn't tell her about what this place was, or what their purpose was, he figured it would all be ok. He took her through areas that nobody would be, and where she wouldn't see anything important, and finally reached a library filled with books.
"Here we are," he said.

Morgana knew better than to ask questions. It was obvious from Rain's demeanor that she wasn't exactly allowed to be here. She made a mental map of the area in case she'd want to come back later. She might try sifting through someone's memories to figure out what this place was. She didn't want to risk it with Rain, though. He was helping her and she didn't want to jeopardize that aid.
Her eyes sparkled with delight when she gazed upon the countless books. Something here would definitely peak her interest. He had at least shown her where to go. She should give him something in return. Without saying a word she pulled Rain towards her and kissed him passionately. She eventually released him, smiling. "Thank you," she said simply, turning her attention back towards the books.

He kissed her back when he felt her lips on his. He had not expected that, not now at least. Well, it was fantastic, and definitely worth all of this so far. He let her put her focus on the books and just stood back for now, watching.

Morgana looked ever bit the part of an excited kid let loose in a candy shop. She breathlessly approached the books and marveled at all the wondrous library had to offer. She tenderly ran her fingers along the spines of the books, skimming the titles. She gasped in delight when she found one written in Sanskrit. She didn't know Japanese but she had studied the old languages of power. She had learned Ancient Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and Sanskrit in her quest to study the potent magic of old.

"You're probably not supposed to be here, so do what you have to, be quiet, and we'll go when you're done," he said. He didn't want to be rude or pushy, but that's how this was going to come down.

Morgana nodded her head in understanding. She'd expected as much. She quickly took the Sanskrit book and began reading it. "Do they actually have a translator for this?" she asked curiously but very softly, following his instructions. Few people knew that language and if it would allow her to spend more time in the library she'd be happy to translate. Although she'd come back here with or without permission. She now knew how to get here and she'd done more than her fair share of trespassing. There was no length she wouldn't go to read what she wanted.

He shrugged, "I have no idea. This isn't my area of work," he told her. "I'd imagine somewhere there's someone who knows how to read it..."

"Let me know if you hear they need a translator. I'd be happy to help," she responded. After that she was dead silent, focusing only on the words in the book. She committed them to memory as much as possible. She jotted down some page numbers she'd like to review again and some basic notes. She would stay here and finish the book if she had time. If not she'd leave when instructed but read as much as she was able until then.
