Jun's smile widened. He always loved it when people appreciated his magic tricks.
"Oh just tricks like that," he explained. "I find the magic makes people happier when the flowers are real. But sadly flowers wilt so quickly. I constantly need to replenish my stores." He'd just have to be careful he didn't actually reveal how much money was on his person. That would blow his cover. But he hoped a few flowers wouldn't be too expensive. He supposed it depended on the type.

"Well, I guess roses would be good," she said, pulling out a dozen of them and wrapping them. She passed them over to him with a smile.

He accepted the box appreciatively and handed Rui-chan the proper coins. "Thank you! I promise to take good care of them!"

She smiled, "I hope you will."

Jun laughed. "I had better! You know where I live!" he joked. The transformation had been slower than usual given the gravity of the situation, but now that for the most part his Makai business was concluded, he reverted to his more relaxed and somewhat goofy state.

She smiled, "Yeah, I do..."

Jun beamed. "So am I not supposed to distract you while you're working or can I show you some more magic tricks?"

"Well, nobody else is here," she said, "So go ahead."

Jun's whole face lit up like a Christmas tree. He lived for moments like this. He only wondered what he should show her first. "Do you have any preferences?" he asked eagerly. "Request it and I'll do my best to preform it."

"I don't really know magic tricks," she said, "I haven't seen them done very much, so surprise me."

Jun thought for a moment, trying to figure out how to best impress her. "Oh! I think you'll like this one!" he said excitedly, removing several pieces of brightly colored paper from his backpack. He snapped his fingers and the various papers seemed to fold themselves. Soon there was a little army of origami birds. He snapped his fingers again and the birds flew around Rui-chan before converging on the counter to form a large brightly colored origami rose.

She looked in wonder at the papers flying around her, and everything they did. She looked in shock at Jun, "H-how did you do that?" Ok, pulling a rose out of nowhere or something was a bit easier to figure out, like maybe a sleeve? But this? This was something else completely.

Jun simply grinned. "I suppose my father would say I wasn't spending my time productively." Not just his father. Uriel too. They all thought Jun was mad for spending countless hours practicing mundane magic tricks instead of real spells. But he preferred his parlor tricks to that. He got barely and leisure time as was. He'd at least use his limited free time to do what he wanted.

"Well, I think you are," she said, "If you figured out how to do this, then you must be doing something right," she smiled.

"Thank you," he said gratefully. He was glad that at least some people liked and appreciated his magic. "My father just always assumed that if I wasn't preparing for my future, eating, or sleeping, I was completely wasting my time." Although he thought mundane magic had to be about the stupidest hobby Jun could pick, which admittedly was why he had originally picked it.
