Jun smiled, relieved. He would feel a lot better knowing she wasn't wondering around on her own in the dark. Nighttime was prime feeding time for Horrors.

Jun just stood there stunned. She was glad to have him in her life? What?! But he had gotten her family killed and her tainted with Horror blood even if she didn't remember. And he was like the least motivated Makai Knight in existence?! What?!
Had anyone ever told him that before?! He couldn't even remember.
"Thank you," he said after finally pulling himself together. He smiled warmly back at her. She really was sweet and kind and she had a lovely smile. "Likewise."
