Erika rummaged in her backpack. "I almost forgot! If you want um...I'd be really happy if you accepted this." She held out a dolphin cellphone charm to Sierra-chan. "It came with two when I bought it." She showed her how the other one was already attached to her phone.

Erika beamed. "I'm glad you like it, Solo Sister!" She wondered if she would put it on her phone. Then they'd match! Friends did stuff like that. She wanted to be her friend. She was really nice and she understood Erika, at least a little bit. And Erika hadn't been able to open up to anyone like that in...well never.

She pulled out her phone and attached the charm. If it got in the way she'd take it off later, but she wanted to put it on now to make Erika feel better.

Erika smiled relieved. "I'm so glad you like it!" She paused and stared down at her feet. "Um..Does this mean we're friends?" She squeezed her fists shut anxiously. What was she doing? It was way too early to ask that question. And she hated asking that question period. But she was always insecure about whether or not other people considered her a friend. She wished a hole would just swallow her. She really shouldn't have asked. Was it too late to take it back?
