"I'm Gai, The Sky Bow Knight," he finished. He extended his hand again. "It's a pleasure to meet you um...How would you prefer I address you?" he asked. He was his senior by quite a bit. Maybe he wasn't supposed to be that inform with him.

Arata chuckled. "Fair enough, Sonshi." Yeah, he figured that veteran wouldn't want him to refer to him by his first name. Arata was young, though. His first name was fine. He didn't really want people to be formal with him anyway.

"Thank you for your help and think about what I said!" Arata called out to the priestess.
"Arata, you're not going to convince her to change her mind. Let it drop."
"Sonshi..." Arata began before Zeoul interrupted him.
"And don't bring it up with Sonshi! You're going on patrol! Now focus!" Zeoul scolded.
"Fine!" Arata replied sullenly. He supposed he'd have time to hear Sonshi's opinion on his political ideas later.
Arata returned his attention back to Sonshi. "Are things really bad in Vol City?" he asked. "I heard several knights were called here to deal with the Horror threats." Arata didn't mind being called the new kid. In comparison to Sonshi he was new. And he was new in terms of accepting his destiny. Originally this one had belonged to his brother. He had never thought that he would inherit.

"The Order dispatched three Knights to Vol City. GARO, ZEN, and GAI," he explained, "If things weren't that bad, there would only be need for one."

Arata's eyes shone with fierce determination. "We must do everything in our power to protect the city!" he said vehemently. It was their responsibility as Makai Knights to protect the innocents and keep the city safe!

Arata nodded and boldly stepped in front of Sonshi, taking the lead. "How long have you been here? Do you know the details of the situation? Are there simply more Horrors than normal or are the Horrors stronger too?" he asked, tone all business.

"A week, not much, and we've encountered several Horrors in our short time here. None of them particularly strong, but who knows," he said following Arata, "The strong ones may be waiting for our guards to drop before they make their move."

"Have you noticed anything unusual in your time here?" he asked, trying to get a firm grasp on the situation. If three knights had been summoned the circumstances must be really grave. "I wasn't really given much information either. Just come to Vol City," he added.

"I wonder why there's a surpuls of Horrors here," he said, deep in thought. "I thought this city was supposed to be some sort of Utopia."
"Arata, sometimes you really are too optimistic for your own good," Zeoul commented. "A Utopian society has never existed and I seriously doubt it ever will."
