"Take whatever you want, I can find more the next time you're around."

Charlotte carefully studied the paintings and determined her favorites. She took as many as she could.

He helped her with the paintings, taking them to his car, "Is that it?"

She nodded and then it clicked that there was no way she could carry them all home. "Sorry to ask but could you possibly drive me home? I live really close to our meeting spot. And I do have a car but I didn't feel I could drive safely today so I walked," she explained. "But...I seriously doubt I can carry these all the way home myself."

He nodded, "Of course I'll help you."

"Thanks! And I'm sorry! I promise this won't ever happen again!" She was still a little mad at herself for being too shaken up to drive. What had happened was over and done with. She shouldn't have let it rattle her so badly.

"I don't mind," he told her, "I'll do it any time."

"Thanks. I appreciate it," she said before giving Jack her address.
She was grateful that she had something to do when she got home. She could focus her energy on displaying the paintings. She was just going to try and forget the entire incident. She'd keep herself as busy as possible until that happened.

He followed her instructions until he reached her home. "Do you want me to help you carry them in?"

"That would be great! Don't worry. The place is pretty neat. There's just a bunch of relevant books scattered around everywhere. Don't mind them." Charlotte unlocked the door and lead Jack inside to a very sparsely furnished apartment. Besides the research books and a blank white canvas there were only the bare essentials.

He looked around a little as he helped her bring the paintings inside, "Where do you want them?" he asked.

She'd been thinking about it for a bit. "What do you think about..." she asked as she pointed to various places in her apartment. He had a artistic eye. He had to, to create such beautiful paintings. He might have a better idea than her as to where the paintings should be placed.
"Oh sorry! I mean of course I'm going to take care of displaying them myself. You can put them anywhere. I just wanted to know if you thought that placement would be good."

"I have thoughts," he said, looking around, "But ultimately this isn't my home, my thoughts don't really matter. You're the one who's going to be looking at them, not me."

"Please let me hear them. I've never actually decorated any of my apartments before. And your paintings are so good. I want to make sure they have the best possible setup."

"Ok," he said, looking at each painting, "That one might go well here," he directed to a wall close to him. He went through each painting, pointing out where he thought they would fit.
