"Why do you fight?" she asked him. "You'd be much less likely to die if you stuck with your doctor work."

"Because I have the power to fight," he told her.

"But you seem unwilling. You seem afraid to die. Can you be a good warrior when your dream is to be a doctor?" Although a person could have more than one dream it was foolish to do so. People only had the energy and strength to make one come true. You had to devote absolutely everything to your ambition if you wanted to do it a proper service.

"I don't fear death," he said, "I just know that it won't touch me."

"What makes you so special? You might have power but you're still human. If I stabbed you in the chest you'd still bleed out. You're deluding yourself if you honestly believe death can't touch you."
Hiroshi was really beginning to regret not excusing himself.

"I'm just good enough," he told her, "I have the skill and power to live."

"I saw you use a sword," she commented. "Do you feel confident enough to duel me?" she asked. Kiriha was far too arrogant for his own good. She needed to show him that someone could and one day would best him.

"I'm not a swordsman by any means," he told her, "I would lose if we dueled."

"And fighting you in your armored form could be dangerous. It might also cause destruction," she acknowledge, trying to figure out a way they could fight on equal terms.
"Perhaps something a little less dangerous," Hiroshi interjected. "Are you any good at chess?" he asked Kiriha.
"I'm not sure that will really prove my point," Sayuri responded, still pondering the matter.

"I play from time to time," he said, "But I'd rather not get into it."

"Your skill and power don't make you invincible. There's no such thing as an invincible warrior. I want to show you that. But you're no swordsman and I cannot fight well without my sword but you won't believe my words alone. You've gotten it into your head that you're so special and that somehow the normal rules don't apply to you. Someone needs to wake you from your stupor quickly."
Sayuri knew she was being a bit rude but he was too arrogant and his thoughts were dangerous. If he were more level headed he could save so many more people. But he couldn't see his own faults. He needed to be shown them.

"Give me a sword then," he told her, "Let's see what happens. I may lack your skill, but I'll still fight you."

She nodded her head approvingly. "I at least like your spirit," she acknowledged leading him to the training room. A variety of swords were present. Sayuri specialized in the katana but she knew how to use them all.
"Pick which ever one you like and choose one for me as well. But don't pick the katana. It is my favored weapon."

He chose a saber and took it in hand. He didn't quite know what he was doing with swords, but he figured he'd be fine. He had some plans in mind.

Ah. So it would be a battle of sabers. She picked one up and tested the weight, spinning the blade for good measure.
"Would you like me to give you some instruction before we begin? I fear I have too much of an advantage." Even without her katana she knew swords.
