Jayce didn't quite know where to go, so he went right and stopped before a door. He crouched and moved past it, since there were windows on the other side. He poked his head up a bit, and then kept going. That wasn't anything important.

There was another door, a larger door. More secure. He moved to it, but it was unlocked. He slid it open a little and looked inside. Three men. He nodded to her, "Gun," he whispered.

Miri nodded back, creeping forward and taking aim.

"Take out the one farthest away. Then the middle one, and I'll get the closest," he whispered.

Miri nodded, taking aim and firing twice, taking out the first and hitting the second in the shoulder. One more shot, and he was down.

As she shot, he kicked open the door and moved to engage the other one. He punched the man twice in the face and grabbed him, slamming him into the wall. The man kicked him back and drew his firearm, hitting Jayce in the chest. He cried out and went down.

Miri burst in and shot him several times. She dropped her own gun when she was and rushed to Jayce's side. "Damn, he got you good..." She muttered.

"I'll be fine," he said, slamming the door closed and sealing it. He went to the controls, "If there's something here that can disable the field or whatever they have up, we can teleport out..." He looked at the different controls, and then grabbed the guns from the downed men. He started shooting every console, everything he could.

Miri shrugged, grabbing a gun of her own and joining in. It was fun.

He turned and put his hand out by the door. A telekinetic burst slammed it open.
"We're good," he said, "We'll come back later and destroy this place if we can." He grabbed her and focused, making the farthest jump he could just so he could get them oriented. They ended up somewhere in Washington state...

He nodded, "It should only take a few jumps to get back," he said, grabbing her wrist. He held his wound with his other hand and started to make the teleports.

They finally returned to base, and Jayce collapsed.
